The Work:
Our product cover a wide range of financial services, spanning the gamut of regulatory topics. We’re looking for a seasoned legal expert who can help us scale financial advice to a broad consumer and manage the legal aspects or our advice, investing, and insurance businesses. You will report directly to the CEO.

The Responsibilities
  • Advise the business on all compliance-related matters, such as the regulatory implications of new and existing products, new market expansion, enhancements to the firm’s compliance framework and the review/approval of business activities as appropriate.
  • General contract review, review of customer facing and marketing materials, creation of policies and procedures to address general corporate legal/compliance guidelines.
  • Keep up to date with regulatory changes, including state and federal directives and regulations, and implement relevant changes to the compliance policies and procedures for related services
  • Conduct risk assessments and establish appropriate risk-based controls.
  • Monitor compliance with relevant laws and regulations, including KYC/AML, information security, consumer protection and privacy laws, providing ongoing reporting to senior management.
  • Manage government relations efforts with relevant regulatory agencies, law enforcement and trade associations.

The Skills & Experience
  • 5+ years as an attorney with corporate or in-house financial services experience at a top firm
  • Experience with consumer applications
  • Knowledge of FINRA & SEC regulations
  • J.D. from a top university
  • Exceptional spoken and written communication skills
